I hired lovely Ashley to capture my daughter’s 2nd birthday party which also became a family reunion after Covid had kept us apart for more than a year - and the first time some of our family and friends had met our new baby girl - so a very special day. I am absolutely delighted with the moments Ashley cleverly captured - she worked around the 50 guests getting beautiful, natural shots.
Ashley is a highly emotionally attuned person - a special quality you cannot put a price on for a photographer. Her ability to tune into the atmosphere and the people around her, despite not knowing most of the guests, made for the most wonderful moments being captured. One of my favourites is our great auntie’s 81-year-old bejewelled hands holding my 4-month-old daughter’s little toes. When I showed her, she said she didn’t realise it was being taken. Testament to Ashley’s eagle eye and speedy snapping.
That is just one of the poignant moments that Ashley spent hours scouting out and capturing in a completely non-intrusive, natural way. I have shared the photos with my guests and everyone is equally as delighted as I am. I began trying to choose my favourites but was selecting all of them!
I can’t wait to use Ashley again for my next event. It’s the best gift I could have asked for, to remember a special day. Thank you Ashley for being so talented and lovely
